We Don't Just Fight Fires

    Beside fighting fires in the town of St, Georges, the Fire Brigade also has a mutual aid agreement with the Fire Station at the airport and when called upon we also respond to the Bermuda Fire Service request for assistance.
    Every year in conjunction with the St. George Fire Brigade Association we visit Nursery, and Primary School during Fire Prevention week. Fire Prevention Week is very popular with both our members and the children. We go into the schools and teach them about how to can 911, how to stop drop & roll, their way to get out and stay out of their homes and schools. The children also get to look at the fire truck up close and some of them come to visit us at the station.
    On the Sunday after November 11" "Remembrance  Day", the Royal Artillery Association Club invites us along with the Sea Cadets, Brownies, Junior Leader and the Bermuda Regiment Band to a parade and church service remembering our war veterans. We parade from R. A. A. Club to the town square were their is a short service. We then go to a service in St. Peters Church and then match back to the R. A. A. Club for refreshments.
    During the Christmas season the Fire Brigade ensure that Santa arrives at all his many functions including his famous visit to the town square one evening. He gets to meet all the children and after ensuring that he has herd all their wishes, Santa give then give them treats before he leave for the North Pole.

        
    From time to time we are also called upon though out the year to teach C.P.R. to the community and business. We also give talks and visit various business and homes when requested. Below Cruse ship evacuation of drill of just staff. Above Santa at the Fire Station.
